On Sunday, April 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia released a statement regarding the situation in Gaza following a meeting of representatives from various countries in the Middle East. The Ministerial Committee on Gaza meeting, held in Riyadh and chaired by Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, included representatives from Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar, as well as members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Palestine Liberation Organization.

During the meeting, the ministers emphasized the importance of the international community imposing sanctions on Israel, such as halting the supply of weapons, in response to violations of international and humanitarian law in Gaza and the West Bank. They also discussed ways to intensify efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and provide humanitarian aid to its population, while expressing opposition to a possible military operation in Rafah.
