An action film titled “Normal,” starring Bob Odenkirk, has pre-sold to distributors globally after being launched at the EFM earlier this year by WME Independent. The film has been acquired by distributors in various territories including the UK, Latin America, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, the Middle East, India, English-speaking Africa, Benelux, the Baltic States, Ukraine, Israel, Indonesia, the Philippines, and South Korea, as well as Anuvu for airlines. Additionally, Amazon has acquired rights for Canada, Scandinavia, and Australia/NZ.

“Normal” reunites Bob Odenkirk with writer Derek Kolstad and will be directed by Ben Wheatley. The film follows the story of Ulysses (Odenkirk) who becomes the temporary sheriff of the small town Normal after the previous sheriff’s death. When the town’s bank is robbed, Ulysses discovers that the town is hiding deep-seated secrets, and he must uncover a criminal conspiracy involving everyone in the town.

The film is produced by Marc Provissiero, Bob Odenkirk, and Derek Kolstad, with a shoot date yet to be revealed. Zach Glueck of WME Independent stated, “From the first time we read Kolstad’s script, we knew this would be a special project that provides both the fun and scale that audiences are hungry for. It’s a project that perfectly unlocks Bob’s unique gifts that make him a global star.”
