In the Lower Saxony village where six-year-old Arian is missing, the air on Friday is clear and fresh from the rain. Houses in the village are built of brick or painted red, giving it a Scandinavian feel. Birds sing, creating a quiet and idyllic atmosphere in Elm. However, the village is not without its troubles as papers hang on house doors, calling for assistance in the search for Arian, who went missing on Monday evening.

Arian, an autistic child, was last seen waving a stick in the street before rushing towards the forest, where he disappeared. Despite extensive search efforts involving hundreds of firefighters, police officers, Bundeswehr soldiers, and volunteers, Arian has not been found. The search area has expanded to include the river and surrounding districts, as concerns grow that the boy may have fallen into the water.

The search is complicated by Arian’s inability to speak or respond to calls from strangers. Search tactics have been adjusted to focus on smaller groups and unconventional methods to catch the attention of the young boy. The community center in Elm serves as a hub for volunteers and emergency services, who work tirelessly with hopes of finding Arian alive.

Despite the challenges, the community of Elm remains united in their efforts to locate Arian. Residents support each other, search their properties, and offer assistance whenever needed. The village remains hopeful but determined in their search for the missing child. As the days pass, the village of Elm continues to come together, showing solidarity and resilience in the face of adversity.
