CAA Sports made a big statement during the NFL Draft by securing 12 picks in the first round, breaking their previous record set in 2018. This marked a shift from Athletes First, who had dominated the draft for the past four years. One notable pick was North Carolina QB Drake Maye going to the Patriots, selected as the third overall pick. Another interesting aspect was the number of players represented by their parents, such as USC QB Caleb Williams and Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Other prominent agencies in the draft included WME Sports and Athletes First, who each had four first-round picks. CAA stood out for having the most top five picks, including players like Joe Alt from Notre Dame going to the Chargers. Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. was a surprising pick at number eight, representing CAA’s strong performance this year.

The draft featured players from 23 different schools, with LSU, Alabama, and Washington leading with three picks each. Quarterbacks were dominant in the top spots, with Williams, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, and Maye being the first three picks of the night. This year’s draft involved fewer agencies than previous years, with CAA’s Patrick Collins standing out as the agent representing the most players in the first round.
