Carrier Introduces CO2 Technology to the United States

Carrier Commercial Refrigeration is introducing its CO2 mechanical refrigeration systems to the North American market. Previously, the company has successfully utilized CO2 natural refrigerant in its systems around the world since 2004, gaining customers in over 35 countries across EMEA and APAC regions. With over 20,000 CO2 systems delivered in Europe alone, the company is now excited to bring this innovative technology to North America.

Jimmy Washington, the North America MD of Carrier Commercial Refrigeration, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to create a more sustainable future for people and the planet through the introduction of CO2 systems in North America. The company is focused on offering its technology to various industries in the region, with a particular emphasis on industrial applications, food and grocery retail, and convenience stores.

Currently, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration’s product range in North America includes CO2 compressor racks and heat pumps for mechanical refrigeration systems. The company also plans to introduce condensing units in the coming months, expanding its offerings to cater to a wider range of customers and applications in the region.
