A Broward County business owner in Miramar was devastated after his store was vandalized just before its grand opening. The incident took place at 2 a.m. on Friday at the Forever Smoke Shop on south Palm Avenue. Surveillance footage captured a man emerging from the shadows with hammers in hand. He proceeded to smash the front windows and door of the business, even stopping to take a picture of the damage. The man then moved to the back of the store to repeat the destructive act before fleeing the scene. Strangely, he returned 20 minutes later to cause more damage before disabling the surveillance cameras.

The owner arrived in the morning to discover the extent of the vandalism which could potentially impact the scheduled grand opening of the shop. Anthony Pascariella, the owner of a nearby tattoo parlor, expressed shock at the incident. He described the affected business owner as a great guy and couldn’t fathom why such an act would be carried out against him. The owner declined to speak on camera due to fear of retribution from the perpetrator.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspect to contact Miramar police or Broward Crime Stoppers. The vandalism incident has left the Miramar business community shaken and on high alert.
