Workers are diligently working to remove rubble from the site of the former stock exchange, Boersen, in Copenhagen, Denmark, after a recent fire destroyed about half of the 17th-century building. The task at hand involves removing scaffolding, masonry, and the copper roof from the burned section of the historic stock exchange building. The fire, which occurred last Tuesday, resulted in the collapse of the iconic 54-meter-high tower. The building, which housed the Danish Chamber of Commerce and was situated near Parliament, was undergoing renovations in anticipation of celebrating its 400th anniversary. Built by order of King Christian IV between 1619 and 1640, the Copenhagen Stock Exchange is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
