There are reports indicating that Emanuel Reynoso might be transferring to Club Tijuana in Mexico’s Liga MX. However, the deal is not yet finalized as both Minnesota United and Club Tijuana are still in advanced talks. Reynoso, who is an MLS all-star midfielder, has been linked to a move to Liga MX previously, with FC Juarez also showing interest.

Reynoso recently returned from an unexcused absence in Argentina and has not been training with Minnesota United’s first team since his return. His situation has strained relationships within the club, with captain Michael Boxall admitting that he had not seen Reynoso since his comeback. The midfielder has also missed significant playing time this season, contributing 10 goals in 18 games.

Minnesota United paid a significant transfer fee to acquire Reynoso from Boca Juniors in 2020. If they decide to sell him, they will be looking to recoup as much of that fee as possible. Reynoso is one of the Loons’ highest-paid players and is currently under contract until the end of the 2025 MLS season. His potential departure could open up opportunities for the club to make big additions in the upcoming transfer window.
