The 2024 Business Resource Fair was recently held in Colorado Springs, bringing together over 40 vendors to support small business owners in the area. The event took place at the Pikes Peak United Way’s Family Success Center on Verde Drive, located on the southeast side of Colorado Springs. This was the first time the event was held for small business owners following the COVID-19 pandemic, with organizers hoping to emphasize the importance of creating connections for success.

Heather McBroom, Executive Director for Thrive Network, highlighted the significance of building genuine relationships within the business community, rather than just networking for the sake of it. The Thrive Network is a nonprofit organization with a mission to engage, educate, and empower individuals to unlock their potential, build resilient businesses, and strengthen under-resourced communities through entrepreneurship. To learn more about the nonprofit, visitors can visit The Thrive Network’s website.

In other news, thousands of people in Colorado Springs are advocating for a downtown building height limit and aiming to include it as a ballot measure in the upcoming November election.
