Geauga County offices have recently implemented the ZeroEyes system to enhance campus security, joining two local school districts in this effort. This system utilizes artificial intelligence to detect the presence of a firearm, even if only 0.1% of the weapon is visible to cameras. The demonstration on April 30 at the Geauga County Office Building on Ravenwood Drive showcased how the AI system, already in use in Berkshire and Chardon school districts, integrates with existing security camera networks. In the event that a weapon is detected, the software immediately sends an alert to the company.

ZeroEyes’ Vice President of Education and Local Government Solutions, Brett Handell, explained the functionality of the system during the demonstration. By leveraging the AI technology, the system can provide real-time alerts and enhance security measures in schools and public offices. This proactive approach to detecting firearms aims to improve response times and overall safety for students and employees. By implementing the ZeroEyes system, Geauga County offices are taking a significant step towards bolstering security and creating a safer environment for all individuals on campus.
