The Lamborghini Urus SE made its world public premiere at the Auto China Beijing 2024 motor show, following its unveiling at the Volkswagen Group Media Night on April 24. This new-generation Urus, the first PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) luxury super SUV, features a new design with optimized aerodynamics, unprecedented on-board technologies, and a hybrid powertrain with an output of 800 CV. The Urus SE sets a new benchmark in the segment in terms of comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions, and driving pleasure.
In addition to the Urus SE, the Revuelto, the first super sports V12 hybrid HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle), is also being showcased. The Huracán Tecnica, a rear-wheel drive super sports car with a V10 engine, is on display in the Ad Personam room at the event. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, expressed his pleasure in presenting their latest achievements at the automotive industry event. He noted the significance of the Urus in creating a new segment and becoming one of Lamborghini’s most successful models since its launch.
Winkelmann highlighted the evolution of the super SUV, with the Urus SE being the most powerful SUV on the market. He emphasized that the new Urus SE is the next chapter in Lamborghini’s success story and a significant step in their electrification plan ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’. Winkelmann reflected on presenting the Urus concept car in Beijing twelve years ago, which paved the way for the success of the Urus and its position as the third pillar in Lamborghini’s line-up. The unveiling of the Urus SE marks a new era in super SUVs and demonstrates Lamborghini’s commitment to innovation and progress in the automotive industry.
