Devan Chemicals Unveils New Stain Release Technology Without PFCs

Devan Chemicals in Ronse, Belgium has introduced a new sustainable technology that effectively removes stains from textiles without the use of harmful PFCs. The Devan Stain Release solution is designed to prevent water- and oil-based stains from deeply penetrating fibers, making it easier to wash off stains from the surface of the fabric. This innovative technology combines stain release and wicking properties to provide superior protection against spills and stains.

This solution is especially effective for cotton and cotton blends but can also enhance the performance of synthetic textiles. It is suitable for a wide range of textile applications, including home textiles, bedding accessories, mattress ticking, school uniforms, workwear, and apparel. With 40% bio-based content, Devan Stain Release is a convenient and ready-to-use product that does not require the mixing of multiple products.

In addition to its stain-releasing capabilities, this technology also extends the lifespan of fabrics by reducing the need for frequent washing. By promoting sustainable consumption practices, Devan Chemicals aims to contribute to a more environmentally friendly textile industry. Dr. Roberto Teixeira, the chief technology officer at Devan Chemicals, emphasized the company’s commitment to both innovation and sustainability. He highlighted the importance of providing consumers with high-quality textiles that are protected against everyday spills and mishaps.
