Arizona State’s starting quarterback, Jaden Rashada, has announced that he is entering the transfer portal. Rashada made this decision public on the social platform X, expressing his gratitude to coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff. He specifically thanked Coach Dillingham for his consistency, care for the university and players, and for sharing his passion and knowledge of the game with him. Rashada stated that he will be seeking the best fit for his career through the transfer portal.
Rashada earned the starting quarterback position as a freshman, but his season was cut short by a knee injury that caused him to miss nine games. He returned for the season finale against rival Arizona, where he demonstrated his skills by throwing for 485 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions on 44-of-82 passing in three games. Rashada originally committed to Miami, but later decommitted to play at Florida before transferring to Arizona State.
Due to offseason thumb surgery, Rashada was limited during spring drills. His future plans and destination after entering the transfer portal are yet to be determined. This decision marks a new chapter in Rashada’s football career, as he looks for the right opportunity that will best support his growth and success on the field.
