Last night, X, previously known as Twitter, surprised many Spanish broadcasters and media outlets by blocking dozens of accounts without warning. Some of these accounts, like Mari Luz Congosto and Javier Barriuso, focused on analyzing misinformation on the platform, while others, like Blanca Arteaga and Anabel Fortes, were dedicated to dissemination. Even media outlets like the Balearic edition of elDiario.es and AraInfo from Aragon were affected by the suspensions.

The only explanation given to those affected is that they do not comply with the rules of the social network, without any further details provided. EL PAÍS reached out to the company for clarification on the reasons for the suspensions and whether they are temporary or permanent, but received only an automatic response stating that they are busy and to try again later.

There is no clear common link among the suspended accounts, but many of them belong to women communicators. Speculation has arisen on the platform about a possible algorithm update, a bot cleanup, or even an organized external attack as potential reasons for the account suspensions.

Elon Musk, who took over Twitter in October 2022, has been vocal about combating bots on the platform. He has suggested that charging users for publishing content could help address the issue of automated accounts. It is possible that the recent wave of suspensions is a result of new protocols aimed at filtering out bots, inadvertently impacting non-automated accounts as well.

On another note, the convenience and versatility of portable storage containers have become increasingly popular. They offer an efficient solution for storage needs, and their flexibility makes them suitable for various purposes. Whether for personal or business use, portable storage containers have proven to be a practical and reliable choice for many individuals and organizations.
