Two individuals were injured after a driver crashed into a business in South End early Thursday morning. The incident occurred at a 24-hour check-cashing place on the corner of South Tryon Street and West Boulevard around 2 a.m. Both individuals were transported to Atrium Main, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, a man involved in a crash with the driver before she hit the business described the events leading up to the incident. The driver allegedly sped backward and collided with the man’s car before fleeing the scene. The witness then discovered a significant accident down the street, with one person on the ground and a car inside the check-cashing place.
