Educator at Schuylkill Technology Center Honored as Educator of the Year by Hawk Mountain Council BSA

Bill Mack, a Social Studies Instructor at Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, was named the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year by the Hawk Mountain Council BSA. The award was presented at a breakfast held at STC North Campus on April 26, 2024. Mr. Mack was chosen for his exceptional teaching skills, ability to foster leadership in his students, and his dedication to community service, as stated by Shannon Brennan, STC Director.

Bill Mack earned his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University, and is currently working towards his Principal’s Certification from Alvernia University. With sixteen years of teaching experience, he began his career at North Schuylkill School District and now teaches at Schuylkill Technology Center. He has held leadership positions in various organizations, including serving as District President and Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association. Additionally, he serves as the STC SkillsUSA Advisor. Bill and his wife Holly are proud parents of daughter Laynie.
