Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum reported that Arizona State University is now offering a degree in Artificial Intelligence, recognizing the increasing popularity of this technology. ASU is staying up to date with the trend by introducing a first-of-its-kind program in AI.

According to Fox – 10 Phoenix, Advanced Fiber Technology (AFT) has announced the opening of its second production line at its facility in Crossroads Industrial Park. The $5.5 million investment includes $4.75 million in cutting-edge technology, robotics, and automation in the wastepaper conversion industry. This expansion has created six full-time positions and maintained the company’s 33 employees.

AFT, founded by Bucyrus-native Doug Leuthold and his family in 1988, specializes in converting recycled wastepaper into insulation and fibers for various applications. The second plant, adjacent to the original operation, features state-of-the-art equipment manufactured in the US, including components from Crawford County.

Mayor Bruce Truka of Bucyrus praised AFT and IBP for their investment in the second production line, recognizing the benefits to the local workforce and economy. The expansion will allow AFT to meet increasing demand for its products and further strengthen its presence in the community.
