The 7th Annual Coachella Valley Business Conference & Economic Forecast is scheduled to take place on Thursday morning at Fantasy Springs. The event is organized by the Riverside County Office of Economic Development and is being hosted by the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians at Fantasy Springs.

County leaders and keynote speakers will come together at the conference to discuss business trends, local resources, and provide an outlook for the future of the Valley’s economy. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Christopher Thornberg, a founding partner of Beacon Economics.

Dr. Thornberg will delve into discussions about the international, national, and regional economies and how they might impact business trends in the desert area. Joaquin Tijerina, the Development Manager for Riverside County, expressed excitement about welcoming Dr. Thornberg back for another presentation. He admires Thornberg’s optimistic outlook and his ability to highlight opportunities for civic and business leaders to prepare and make informed decisions.

One particular challenge Tijerina mentioned that businesses in the Valley face is accessing affordable loans. Many businesses are eager to learn about opportunities at the federal and state levels that will enable them to secure capital at an affordable rate. Tijerina also acknowledged positive developments in the area, such as the Acrisure Arena and a steady increase in tourism, presenting exciting opportunities for growth and development.

Overall, Tijerina is optimistic about current trends in the Valley and looks forward to seeing what the future holds for businesses in the region.
