The Tulsa World is recognizing the top high school athletes in the Tulsa area once again. Finalists for winter sports All-World Awards will be revealed this week. Swimming finalists will be announced on Wednesday, followed by wrestling on Thursday, boys basketball on Friday, and girls basketball on Saturday. On Sunday, the All-State boys and girls basketball finalists will be announced.
Last fall, finalists for athlete of the year were announced in football, cross country, volleyball, and softball. The 2023-24 All-World honors include football, softball, volleyball, girls cross country, and boys cross country. Winners for spring sports will be announced in June, along with specialty awards recognizing the best comeback, inspirational, and scholar athletes, as well as a lifetime achievement award recipient.
The winners for athletes of the year in each sport will be announced at the All-World Awards banquet on Thursday, June 20 at the Cox Business Convention Center’s Legacy Hall.
