There are almost tenfold differences in electricity transfer fees between companies, as reported by Omakotiliitto. The small house residents’ interest organization, Home association, compared electricity transmission prices and found significant variations. According to Omakotiliito, the basic fee for the transfer ranges from EUR 4.70 at the cheapest to EUR 40.66 at the most expensive per month.

The most expensive transfer fee was charged by Järvi-Suomen Energia, followed by Kajave (39.5 euros per month) and Koorevesi Sähkö (39.48 euros per month). On the other hand, the cheapest basic fee for the transfer was with Kerava Energy, with Tampereen Energia Sähköverkola and Haukiputaa Sähkoosuuskunnta offering slightly higher rates.

When comparing the energy fee for electricity transmission, the kilowatt-hour price ranged from 1.69 cents at Rovakaira to 6.75 cents at Enontekiö Sähkö. The spending habits and type of living determine whether the emphasis is on the basic transfer fee or the energy fee on the electricity bill.

The survey also revealed that almost half of the companies had increased their prices since last year, while two companies lowered the price and 37 kept it unchanged. The Energy Agency implemented a new supervision model last year to regulate electricity transmission prices, which has faced opposition from many transmission companies.

Chairman of the Association of Home Owners, Ari Rehnfors, expressed the union’s desire for more drastic measures to lower electricity transmission prices and ensure a fair control model in the market. Omakotiliito KTI Kiinteistötieto conducted the survey on electricity transmission prices.
