Mt Monger Resources Ltd. (AU:MTM) has provided an update on their latest developments. MTM Critical Metals Ltd. has introduced their Flash Joule Heating (FJH) prototype, which has demonstrated significant improvements in recovering rare earth elements and critical metals from coal fly ash. The prototype has shown increases in recovery rates ranging from 50% to 514% compared to traditional acid leach methods. This advancement, which has been scaled up 50 times from its initial proof of concept, also strives to reduce acid use and waste in the leaching process. The company intends to expand testing to other metal-rich waste sources, aiming to improve the economic feasibility of this environmentally friendly technology.
