Florida Democrats React to Ongoing Assault on Children’s Healthcare as DeSantis Removes 22,000 Kids from Florida KidCare

The Florida Democratic Party has expressed concerns about the lawsuit filed by the DeSantis administration that could potentially impact the health care coverage of children nationwide. FDP Chair Nikki Fried criticized Governor Ron DeSantis for prioritizing legal action over the well-being of Florida’s children. She highlighted that over 22,000 children have been removed from Florida KidCare, a program that provides health insurance coverage for children in need.

Fried urged Florida voters to re-elect President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election to ensure federal protections for health care remain in place.
