After qualifying earlier today, the Elite racers competed against the clock in the semi-finals to determine who would progress to the finals. The results from the semi-finals are as follows:
In the Elite Women category, Vali Höll came in first with a time of 4:45.370, followed by Tahnee Seagrave in second with a time of 4:47.725, just +2.355 behind. Camille Balanche finished third with a time of 4:51.409, +3.240 behind the leader. Nina Hoffmann and Mikayla Parton rounded out the top five with times of 4:49.921 and 4:51.032 respectively.
For the Elite Men, Troy Brosnan took first place with a time of 4:14.909, followed closely by Finn Iles in second with a time of 4:14.922, just +0.013 behind. Loic Bruni finished third with a time of 4:14.980, +0.071 behind the leader. Luca Shaw and Luke Meier-Smith came in fourth and fifth with times of 4:15.410 and 4:15.867 respectively.
