Students worldwide are coming together to protest Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, with more than 50 universities in the United States establishing Palestine solidarity encampments. What started as a student movement at Columbia University in New York City has quickly spread across the globe to Europe, Australia, and Canada.

Despite facing opposition in the form of counterprotests, arrests, and suspensions, student protesters are determined to speak out against Israel’s actions in Gaza. This has sparked debates surrounding freedom of expression and the role of activism on college campuses.

Beyond the media’s focus on free speech and safety concerns, the question remains: why are students taking such risks to support Gaza? Tonight, on the show, we have Harvard student and activist Mahmoud Al Thabata, University of Warwick student and activist Fraser Amos, and Sydney University student and activist Jasmine Al Rawi to discuss this important issue.
