The Israeli government recently approved the allocation of 19 billion shekels over the next five years for the restoration and development of settlements on the border with the Gaza Strip, with another 18 billion shekels allocated for the same purposes in the following five years. This program, put together by the Tkuma Office, aims to invest in housing, infrastructure, education, employment, medicine, and more to develop settlements around Gaza for future generations.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the government’s commitment to invest in the development of these settlements to counter the threats posed by Hamas terrorists. The objective is to build a stronger, more resilient Land of Israel while defending the country.

The plan also includes transforming the area into a hub for science and sports, expanding institutions like Sapir College and the southern Wingate Institute. Advanced agriculture utilizing the latest technologies will be a focus, along with attracting new residents and fostering harmonious growth in the region.

Local authorities have been involved in the development of the program, and they will play a role in its implementation. The plan covers various aspects such as housing construction, infrastructure development, economic growth, tourism enhancement, and job creation, with a significant emphasis on ensuring both personal and national security.
