GreenSeam will be hosting a workshop on May 2 at the St. James Golf Course in St. James. The workshop aims to connect ag-related businesses with the necessary resources to start or grow their business locally. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow businesses, community leaders, and experts in community-based entrepreneurship. They will also gain valuable tools to advance their business or idea to the next level.
University of Minnesota Extension Educator Neil Linscheid will be discussing the critical variables that contribute to business success in the county. Jeff Stamp, inventor of the Lays Baked potato chip and professor of entrepreneurship at the U of M, will share valuable insights on the six problems all entrepreneurs must solve. Attendees will also have the opportunity to listen to a panel of local business success stories from companies such as Romsdahl Companies, Winegar Inc, and Berry Pallets.
The workshop will conclude with a work session where attendees can ask questions, access regional resources, and connect with the local Economic Development. There is a fee to attend the workshop, which includes breakfast. To register and find more information, visit greenseam.org/GITGSJ.
