Former Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, who has spent the past three seasons as a commentator for FOX Sports, recently won another Sports Emmy award for his work as a top event analyst. This adds to his previous win for top emerging on-air talent last year. Olsen has become a fan favorite in the broadcast booth since retiring from the NFL in 2020.

Olsen was nominated alongside five other sports analysts for this year’s award, including Troy Aikman, Cris Collinsworth, Bill Raferty, John Smoltz, and Tom Verducci. Despite his success and accolades, FOX Sports has signed Tom Brady as their top football commentator, leading Olsen to be part of the No. 2 announcing team alongside Joe Davis in the upcoming season.

During his time with the Panthers, Olsen made history as the first tight end in NFL history to achieve three consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards from 2014-2016. His 6,463 receiving yards rank third in franchise history, and his 39 touchdowns rank fourth. Olsen’s continued success in the broadcasting world has solidified his status as a respected figure in the sports media industry.
