During an interview with the Saudi TV channel Al-Sharak, a member of the Hamas delegation at the negotiations in Cairo placed the blame on Benjamin Netanyahu for the lack of progress in negotiations with Israel. Despite this, he mentioned that the Islamic Resistance Movement is prepared to engage in further negotiations if a second party is willing to participate. The Hamas representative clarified that they did not withdraw from the negotiations or reject the Egyptian mediators, but were left waiting for the Israeli delegation to show up in Cairo for two days.

The member of the Hamas delegation expressed the group’s interest in reaching an agreement and their readiness to continue negotiations. Hamas has suggested its own interpretations on certain points of the agreement and is awaiting a clear response from the Israeli side. Additionally, the Hamas representative highlighted that Netanyahu’s statements to the Israelis have raised suspicions about his true intentions to continue the conflict.

Despite the challenges, the Hamas representative indicated that there is still a possibility of reaching an agreement if the other party demonstrates seriousness in the negotiations. The focus remains on finding common ground and moving towards a resolution that benefits both sides.
