Before the start of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon races, participants and guests have the opportunity to attend the Health and Fitness Expo at the Oklahoma City Convention Center. The expo opens at 11 a.m. on Friday and provides a preview of what runners can expect during the event. Runners can pick up packets with important information and meet the organizations involved in this year’s Run to Remember.

Red Coyote founder Jon Beck, who owns health and fitness stores in the Oklahoma City area, describes the marathon weekend as the “Super Bowl” for his company. The expo draws in visitors from all over the country and the world who are looking to maintain their healthy lifestyle. As the weekend progresses, the expo gets busier with people eager to learn new ways to stay fit.

Upon entering the expo, runners can find the packet pickup station and wait in line based on their bib number. After presenting identification and their bib number, runners will receive their packet and have the opportunity to personalize their race bib at the “In Honor Of” station. Inside the packet, runners will find a bib, commemorative t-shirt, race towel, event guide, and course maps.

Runners participating in the 5K, Senior Marathon, and Kids Marathon must pick up their packets on Friday. Before race day, it is important for runners to review the information provided in their bib confirmation email for accurate division placement. The Health and Fitness Expo is a crucial event for participants to gather information, connect with fellow runners, and prepare for the upcoming races.
