The draft for the Cowboys went as expected by most people. They added a potential replacement for Tyron Smith in the first round, bolstered the front seven, and added depth to the offensive line. While the immediate impact of this draft may not be significant, the team made some strong choices in selecting potential future starters. With Jerry Jones determining the next steps for the franchise, this draft holds crucial importance for the Cowboys.

A standout pick from the draft was Cooper Beebe, an offensive lineman from Kansas State selected 73rd overall. Beebe showcased versatility playing both guard and tackle positions, demonstrating athleticism in reaching the second level and solid pass protection skills. With starter potential, Beebe was a valuable find in the third round.

On the other hand, the least favorite pick was Tyler Guyton, an offensive tackle from Oklahoma chosen 29th overall. Despite possessing immense potential, Guyton is currently raw and may have a lower floor compared to other offensive tackles available. While the upcoming season may not showcase Guyton’s full capabilities, he has the potential to excel in the league given time to develop.

The Cowboys’ full draft picks include Tyler Guyton (OT, Oklahoma), Marshawn Kneeland (DL/EDGE, Western Michigan), Cooper Beebe (OL, Kansas State), Marist Liufau (LB, Notre Dame), Caelen Carson (CB, Wake Forest), Ryan Flournoy (WR, Southeast Missouri State), Nathan Thomas (OL, Louisiana Lafayette), and Justin Rogers (DL, Auburn). Each pick contributes to the overall strategy of strengthening the team and building a solid foundation for the future.
