In the first 3 weeks of legal sports gambling, North Carolinians bet over $655 million.

North Carolinians have been actively participating in legal sports gambling, as reported by the N.C. State Lottery Commission. In the first three weeks of sports wagering being legalized in the state, residents wagered a total of $659,308,541 on sports events. The data in the report covers the period from the first day of sports wagering, March 11, through March 31. This total includes bets on promo and paid revenue, with North Carolinians winning $590,750,303 on their wagers.

The gross wagering revenue for the month of March was $66,496,213. The state law imposes an 18% tax on the gross wagering revenue generated by sports wagering activity in North Carolina.
