The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a military operation this morning in the Jabalia refugee camp, located in the north of the Gaza Strip. During this operation, they successfully “eliminated a large number of terrorists.” The Israeli Army stated on its social media profile that the combat teams fought intense battles against armed squads and achieved the elimination of a significant number of terrorists.

As part of these attacks, some of which were aerial, the Israeli forces managed to eliminate the terrorist squad responsible for firing shots against the Sderot area located northeast of the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the Army confirmed that in the south of the Palestinian enclave, Division 162 forces are actively working in the vicinity of the city of Rafá to cleanse the area of terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli troops conducted a targeted attack against outposts used by Hamas for training maneuvers against the IDF. The Israeli Air Force planes also carried out a series of attacks on up to 80 terrorist targets in a single day, targeting military buildings, weapons warehouses, and observation posts.

Last October, Hamas initiated an offensive against Israeli territory resulting in almost 1,200 casualties and 240 hostages. This prompted a response from the Israeli Army, leading to a bloody military campaign in the Gaza Strip with a death toll of 35,000.

Initially, the Israeli attacks were concentrated in the north of the enclave, but week by week, the troops advanced southwards. Currently, the city of Rafá in the far south has become the final stronghold in the Strip.
