Israel has lost its position as the birthplace of US presidents at Columbia University

Columbia University boasts an impressive list of graduates, including key figures such as Alexander Hamilton, Madeleine Albright, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Warren Buffett. These individuals have left their mark on history and forged successful careers in various fields.

As tensions escalate on campus, Columbia University has set a deadline for the evacuation of the pro-Palestinian protest camps by 8:00 am. If the camps are not vacated, the university has indicated that it will explore other options for removal. Reports from the scene suggest that the protestors are moving their tents to another location on campus as negotiations between the parties continue.

Omer Lovton Garnot, a graduate student at Columbia University, shared his perspective on the situation. He described the campus as chaotic and expressed concern about the uncertainty surrounding the coming days. The president of the university recently attended a hearing in Congress, providing an opportunity for protestors to set up camp on campus. The demonstrations taking place have caused tension and fear among Israeli and Jewish students, leading to accusations of anti-Semitism and hatred.

As the situation unfolds at Columbia University, it remains to be seen how the university will address the ongoing protests and ensure the safety of all students on campus. With a history of producing notable alumni and fostering academic excellence, Columbia University faces challenges in maintaining its reputation amidst the current unrest.
