Jerry Seinfeld recently made a comment to GQ stating that the movie business is now over due to a general sense of confusion within the show business industry. Seinfeld noted that many people in show business are constantly questioning what to do in the current climate.

The statement was made in relation to Seinfeld’s upcoming film, Unfrosted, which will be available on Netflix in the coming month. Seinfeld mentioned that working on this project was a new experience for him, especially in his directorial debut. He noted that the people he worked with were extremely dedicated and serious about their work.

Seinfeld further explained that while he didn’t explicitly tell his coworkers that the movie business is over, he believes that the industry no longer holds the same significance in society as it once did. He mentioned how movies used to spark discussions and were a focal point of cultural conversations, but nowadays there is a constant influx of content to sift through.

Unfrosted recounts the rivalry between Kellogg’s and Post in 1963 as they compete to create a groundbreaking breakfast pastry. The film is described as a story of ambition, betrayal, and quirky situations involving milkmen and artificial ingredients.

The star-studded cast of Unfrosted includes Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Hugh Grant, Amy Schumer, Max Greenfield, Christian Slater, Sarah Cooper, and Bill Burr. The film will be available on Netflix starting May 3rd.
