According to sources, Jonathan Bailey, known for his role in the Showtime series Fellow Travelers, is in early talks to star in the upcoming Jurassic World movie by Universal and Amblin Entertainment. The star might be joined by Scarlett Johansson, with Gareth Edwards being tapped to direct the film.
The movie is set to be released on July 2, 2025, and the production is already in the pre-production phase. The new Jurassic World movie will bring a fresh take to the franchise, with previous cast members like Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard not expected to return. The script was penned by David Koepp.
Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Patrick Crowley are among the producers of the film, with Spielberg also serving as an executive producer through Amblin. The project will be overseen by EVP Production Development Sara Scott and Creative Executive of Production Development Jacqueline Garell.
In addition to the Jurassic World movie, Bailey is also set to appear in the highly anticipated Wicked adaptation by Universal. Following his performance in Fellow Travelers, Bailey received critical acclaim and won a Critics Choice Award for his work. He is currently seen as a frontrunner in the Emmy race.
