Launch of the FLO Business Hub at NewBo City Market

NewBo City Market is launching a six-month FLO Business Hub program for entrepreneurs and individuals looking to start their own business. The program, which starts on May 8, aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to succeed in a competitive business environment. The program costs $249, with limited scholarships available for those in financial need.

Participants in the program will meet three times a month, including classes, peer review sessions, and networking events. Led by business professionals, the classes will cover topics such as business planning, branding, marketing strategies, pricing models, budgeting, and licensing. Workshops will also allow participants to refine their business strategies.

Hub participants will receive benefits including insider information, priority consideration for shopkeeper opportunities, discounts on vendor rates, discounts with food-based business entrepreneurs, and access to monthly networking events. For more information or to sign up for the program, individuals can contact Matt McGrane, the market’s director of equitable business development, at (319) 200-4050 or email him at matt@newbocitymarket.co.
