Man admits to committing eight burglaries at Cambridge businesses

Robert Rust, a 36-year-old man from Northstowe, Cambridge, has confessed to burglarizing eight businesses. He admitted to the crimes at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on 12 April. The police had reported a string of break-ins at businesses in Cambridge in March, which included takeaways and stores. Rust has been kept in custody and is set to be sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court on 6 May. In relation to two of the break-ins, another man received an 18-month suspended sentence.
