Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in Negotiations for Leading Role in Upcoming ‘Jurassic World’ Movie

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, known for his role in “The Lincoln Lawyer,” is currently in talks to star in the upcoming Jurassic World film for Universal Pictures. This new installment of the franchise will also feature Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, with Gareth Edwards set to direct. The script will be written by Kavid Koepp, the original writer of “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.”

The film is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025, and will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment. Production will be handled by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley through Kennedy-Marshall, with oversight from studio executives Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell.

The Jurassic Park franchise has been highly successful, grossing over $6 billion worldwide. The most recent film, “Jurassic World Dominion,” surpassed $1 billion at the box office. In addition to his role in the new Jurassic World film, Garcia-Rulfo will also be leading Netflix’s Spanish-language film “Pedro Páramo” and reprising his role in the third season of “The Lincoln Lawyer” series.

Garcia-Rulfo’s previous film credits include “A Man Called Otto,” “6 Underground,” “Sicario: Day of the Soldado,” “Murder on the Orient Express,” and “The Magnificent Seven.” He is represented by WME, Ilene Feldman Management, Genuine Artists, and Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman, as well as WK PR.
