Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic receives $10,000 donation from UVA Health Prince William Medical Center

UVA Health has announced a $10,000 donation to the Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic in Manassas and Woodbridge in honor of National Doctors’ Day. The donation recognizes the exceptional service provided by physicians in the community. Erik Shannon, Chief Operating Officer of Community Health, emphasized the dedication of the doctors in serving patients in Prince William and the surrounding area. The donation serves as a token of appreciation for the hard work and quality care provided by the doctors at Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic.

The Catholic Charities Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic, located in Manassas and Woodbridge, caters to the uninsured and underinsured population. The clinic’s mission is to deliver quality healthcare services to the Prince William County community. Services offered include annual physicals, disease management, sick visits, prenatal care, health and wellness classes, eye exams, and more. The doctors and nurses at the clinic volunteer their time to provide free medical care. Additionally, the clinic offers access to integrated services like counseling, emergency food assistance, and workforce development.

Alexandra Luevano, clinic director of the Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic, expressed gratitude towards UVA Health for their consistent support. The donation reflects the ongoing commitment of UVA Health’s doctors to the clinic’s mission and their partnership in promoting the health of the Prince William community. This year, UVA Health has donated a total of $50,000 in honor of National Doctors’ Day to various partners across its service area, ranging from Charlottesville to Northern Virginia and Culpeper.
