Neighboring properties suffer damage following fire at local business

A fire in Flatwoods, Ky., destroyed parts of Tri-State Enterprise and Lawn Care near Argillite Road on Tuesday. Jake Styes, a resident, mentioned that the fire could have easily spread to his garage or house. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident as everyone inside the building was able to evacuate safely. Styes expressed relief that his family and neighbors were unharmed.

Styes was at school when the fire broke out, and he could only see the smoke from a distance. He described feeling a mix of fear and relief upon returning home to see the aftermath of the fire. He thanked the first responders for their quick actions in preventing further damage and ensuring the safety of the neighborhood.

The Flatwoods Fire Chief stated that investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, but it is believed to be accidental. Styes expressed gratitude to the firefighters who helped save his home and his neighbors’ homes. The community is thankful that everyone made it out safely and that the situation was brought under control swiftly.
