Aviators is the newest business in Mandan, located at 202 West Main Street. The sports bar is owned by a group of five individuals, one of whom is Ryan Deichert, a pilot who inspired the name of the establishment. Deichert explained that the idea for the bar came from one of the other owners, who is also interested in aviation. Together, they decided to create a bar themed after airports and airplanes.
Despite the challenges of starting a new business, Deichert also had to navigate the responsibilities of becoming a father. He reflected that the experience was both challenging and rewarding, and he is excited for the opportunities that lie ahead in both aspects of his life.
Although Aviators has not had an official grand opening yet, they have already had a soft opening over the past two weeks. Despite minimal advertising, the bar has seen a steady stream of customers, both locals and passersby, who are eager to check out the new establishment.
Jersey Thomas, a bartender at Aviators, expressed gratitude for the welcoming atmosphere at the bar. As a first-time bartender, Thomas was appreciative of the support she received from her colleagues, who helped her settle into her new role.
Aviators is open seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., providing a comfortable and inviting space for patrons to enjoy a unique aviation-themed experience.
