Supporters, Middle Park Health employees, and community members gathered to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Middle Park Health Fraser Campus. The event took place on April 25th, marking the beginning of construction on Grand County’s newest health care center located on the eastern side of the county at Telemark Drive and U.S. Highway 40.

The new campus will offer a range of services including emergency department, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging services. Additionally, it will have two inpatient beds, similar to the existing Granby and Kremmling campuses. Middle Park Health staff believe that the new campus will enhance healthcare, improve emergency response times, bring economic benefits, and offer more services to the community.

The Fraser Campus is planned to be a two-story, 30,000-square-foot facility with a helicopter pad to serve patients with anything from minor injuries to critical emergencies. The first floor will house emergency medical services, four exam rooms, two trauma bays, two hospital beds, CT scanning, X-ray, and lab services.

The second floor, which will be 15,000 square feet, is reserved for future needs. The infrastructure will exist, but the interior will be completed at a later date. Middle Park Health leadership will decide on the best use for the second floor within the first three to five years of opening. Options being considered include expanding surgical services, adding clinic or rehabilitation space, among others.

Middle Park Health’s other campus locations in Granby and Kremmling serve residents from Grand and Jackson counties as well as part of Summit County. The Middle Park Medical Foundation is also accepting donations from individuals who want to contribute more to the project. Cash gifts are eligible for a 25% tax credit, while in-kind gifts are eligible for a 12.5% tax credit, as this project is a Colorado State-approved Enterprise Zone Contribution Project.
