Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of health in the region. A new permanent exhibit, Advancing Health, presented by Mayfield Brain & Spine, is set to open this July. This exhibit will focus on body systems, medical innovations, and health care professions, with the goal of inspiring a new generation to take care of themselves and others.

The exhibit will feature nine sections, each highlighting a different body system, allowing visitors to explore the human body at a cellular level and from a holistic perspective. By understanding how the body works and how to keep it healthy, visitors will be encouraged to listen to their own bodies, take better care of themselves, and possibly even pursue a career in caring for others.

Elizabeth Pierce, president & CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center, describes Advancing Health as an exhibit that allows visitors to zoom inside their own bodies to see how they function and how technology can help when systems fail. The exhibit is designed around nine major body systems, including the heart, blood, lungs, muscles, bones, digestion, immune system, nervous system, and mental health. Interactive elements, videos, historic innovations, and the latest research will provide an immersive experience for visitors.

Advancing Health presented by Mayfield Brain & Spine will be the newest addition to CMC’s Museum of Natural History & Science. This exhibit is made possible through the Champion More Curiosity campaign and aims to educate and inspire the next generation of individuals who will shape the future of health and care. By opening up conversations and providing engaging experiences around health, CMC hopes to foster a community that prioritizes wellness and wellbeing.
