A popular youth baseball and softball complex in Hunterdon County that is frequented by private travel teams from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic has recently been sold, according to officials. The complex, Diamond Nation in Raritan Township, welcomes more than 3,000 teams and 45,000 players annually. Notably, it has seen players like Anthony Volpe and Mike Trout, both of whom have played on its fields or trained at the facility.

The new owner of Diamond Nation is Unrivaled Sports, a company that recently launched and already operates various youth sports properties across the nation. The complex spans 65 acres and includes five regular-sized baseball fields, two additional fields, and an indoor training facility. Tournaments are held on most weekends during the spring, summer, and fall. While the terms of the sale were not disclosed, Unrivaled Sports CEO Wade Martin expressed excitement about the acquisition.

With this purchase, Unrivaled Sports aims to bolster its commitment to youth baseball and softball, following in the footsteps of Ripken Experiences and Cooperstown All-Star Village. The goal is to provide young athletes with elite training, operational excellence, and unforgettable experiences. The Cust family, who founded Diamond Nation in 2009, will continue to play a significant role in the complex’s operations moving forward.

Notable players who have graced Diamond Nation’s fields include New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout, and retired pitchers Rick Porcello and Anthony Ranaudo. The partnership between Diamond Nation and Unrivaled Sports will further enhance the youth sports landscape, offering players and families additional resources for their athletic pursuits.
