This new option is available in all of their product lines, including Thinx, Thinx Teens, and Thinx For All. The company claims that this new technology provides all-day absorbency and can prevent leaks for up to 12 hours. Courtney Newman, the senior director of product design at Thinx, stated that testing has shown the LeakSafe Barrier technology can withstand heavy flows and is absorbent enough for the majority of users. By focusing on both aesthetics and functionality, the thickness of the gusset layer was minimized, while the width of the secure barrier was maximized to provide comfort, style, and protection to customers.
The garment features a patent-pending four-layer gusset that aims to provide comfort, protection, and odor technology. The breathable fabric helps users feel fresh and dry throughout the day. Sara Plotkin, the vice president of brand and creative at Thinx, explained that during the development process, the company explored various materials, designs, and manufacturing techniques to create a product that meets customers’ needs. The LeakSafe Barrier Technology is designed to offer customers the protection they need to feel confident throughout their entire day.
Thinx’s LeakSafe Barrier Technology will be integrated into their entire range of products and will be available online as well as at retailers such as Amazon, CVS, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart.
