The Detroit High School Sports Awards, presented by Detroit Area Honda Dealers, is excited to reveal the nominees for the Boys Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Year. The winner will be announced during a live show on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit, in partnership with the U.S. Army. This program, which is part of a larger national initiative, aims to recognize outstanding student-athletes in the greater Detroit region who participate in Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.
The live show will also honor players of the year in 28 other sports, in addition to showcasing premier awards for achievements both on and off the field. These awards include the Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and the Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.
