A few months ago, OpenAI hinted at the possibility of launching its own search engine based on artificial intelligence (AI). Now, according to a podcast owner, ChatGPT may already have its search engine up and running within a few days. The search engine will be accessible at search.chatgpt.com, as announced by Pete, the owner of The Neuron podcast on May 2nd, with a planned launch date of May 9th.

While the search engine page is not currently active when attempting to access the web address, it is expected to become live in the coming days. Despite this, some technology media have noted that the SSL certificate is active, indicating that the ChatGPT search engine is likely to be launched soon.

This new search engine from OpenAI comes on the heels of Google’s AI, Gemini, already being active in various regions. ChatGPT’s search engine is anticipated to provide users with more targeted and intelligent results thanks to its AI capabilities. By delivering results from third-party websites in a more intelligent and direct manner than Google, ChatGPT aims to provide users with the information they need quickly and effectively.

While ChatGPT’s search engine shows promise as an alternative to Google, it is essential to consider that Google’s Gemini already offers similar intelligent search results. By joining Google’s Search Labs, users can access AI-enhanced search results in a precise and optimized manner. The difference between ChatGPT’s AI search engine and Google’s options remains to be seen, making it worth waiting to see how it will stand out.

In the meantime, some websites are currently experiencing certificate verification issues, but these should be resolved in due time. The launch of ChatGPT’s search engine is eagerly awaited by those interested in AI-powered search capabilities.
