Pinning Ceremony Held for OTC Veterinary Technology Program

The Veterinary Technology Program at Ogeechee Technical College recently hosted a pinning ceremony on April 18, 2024, in the auditorium of the Joseph E. Kennedy Building. Taylor Rhymes-Wiedner, a 2024 graduate, greeted the guests, while Juliana Cadle, President of Ogeechee Tech’s Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA), led the Challenge to Serve.

Deidre Tillman, an instructor in the Veterinary Technology program at OTC, commended the graduates for completing a challenging academic curriculum and demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and compassionate care throughout their training. She noted that their achievements showcase the potential in the field and highlight the importance of perseverance and dedication in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

During the ceremony, the class took the Veterinary Technician’s Oath, and each of the ten graduates received an Ogeechee Technical College Veterinary Technology pin. The 2024 pin recipients included Avery Beasley, Bonnie Blackburn, Enyia Bostic, Hannah Etheridge, Bryn Green, Faith Jones, Michalla Jones, Maranda Martin, Taylor Rhymes-Weidner, and Madison Wooley.
