“What’s Health Got to Do With It?” is a talk program from WJCT in Jacksonville that delves into the biggest health headlines of the month. The panel of medical experts will be discussing a range of topics including the rise in meningococcal infections, tuberculosis, and bird flu as warned by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Nurses have observed an increase in workplace aggression and violence, while doctors have noted a surge in postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome after COVID. Syphilis rates in the United States, particularly among infants, have also seen a significant increase. Additionally, Eli Lilly is experiencing widespread shortages of the weight-loss drug Zepbound just months after its approval.

The panel of medical experts includes Dr. Sarah Bodin, an anesthesiologist and obesity physician in St. Augustine, Dr. Dacre Knight, director of the Ehlers-Danlos Clinic at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, and Chad Neilsen, director of infection prevention and control at Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville. The program is hosted by Jacksonville neurologist Dr. Joe Sirven and aims to explore the intersection of health care and daily life.
