The company, which operates 8 hospitals in Massachusetts, stated that there will be no disruptions in day-to-day operations and that all hospitals, medical centers, and physician’s offices are open and serving patients as usual. Dr. Ralph de la Torre, CEO of Steward, mentioned that the company has faced challenges in the healthcare environment and filing for Chapter 11 restructuring is in the best interest of patients, physicians, employees, and communities.
